We're excited to recognize Mobi for introducing a new employee benefit: Biki Memberships! Mobi, launched in 2005, is the largest wireless provider in Hawai'i. Mobi is the second employer to work with us to develop a custom designed program that offers employees fully subsidized Biki memberships. In addition to providing every interested employees with a $25 monthly membership, Mobi extended the offer to family members. This membership option offers riders an unlimited number of 60 minute trips every day. There are currently 18 individuals enrolled in the new corporate account.

“It’s so exciting to be able to offer Biki as a benefit to our team and their families here in Honolulu,” said Toni Paracuelles, vice president for retail at Mobi. “With a thousand bikes across town, Biki is a fun and convenient way to get around with a positive impact on the environment.”

We are pleased to observe more and more residents using Biki to get to and from work, work-related appointments, off-site meetings and even company lunches and outings. In fact, according to our 2018 member survey, 50% of Biki members use the service to commute to work. Many businesses currently offer transportation benefits like parking reimbursements and bus passes, and we are proud to work with organizations such as Mobi who recognize bikeshare as a healthy, convenient and accessible transportation alternative. Mobi joins 14 other organizations who have enrolled in the standard plan or set up a custom program.

“A world-class city like ours deserves to have an amazing bikeshare system like Biki.  We’re so thrilled to be able to now share Biki with our team and their families, whether they’re working, playing, or just running a quick errand” added Paracuelles.
