03/19/2019Have you noticed the new design on some of our bikes? Our partners at Hawaiian Electric recently updated their design to celebrate the launch of Project Footprint! Hawaiian Electric is committed to reaching 100% clean energy by 2045 and began this new movement to empower residents with the knowledge and energy options needed to reduce their carbon footprints.
HOW IT WORKS:
Hawaiian Electric customers can now take actions to win rewards. For example, those who switch to paperless billing and automatic bill payment can redeem for a limited edition T-shirt made from 100% recycled materials or a 17 oz. double-wall, stainless steel water bottle.
Or make an even bigger impact! Those who purchase an Electric Vehicle will score $50 of free charging at Hawaiian Electric, Maui Electric and Hawaii Electric Light vehicle charging stations.
Bikeshare Hawaii and HECO:
Since 2016, Hawaiian Electric has supported Bikeshare Hawaii and the Biki program to help reduce vehicle miles traveled and decrease our state’s dependence on fossil fuels. We are very grateful for the support of Hawaiian Electric and excited to spread awareness about their new campaign. Next time you spot one of their Biki bikes be sure to tag #ProjectFootprint and #GoBikiHI to show your support for 100% Renewable by 2045!
