Ride for Pride

10/18/2018

Want to participate?

Please email kelsey@bikesharehawaii.org so we can get a general idea of how many people will be joining!

Break out your rainbow gear and Biki pass... it's time to ride for Pride! We'll be participating in the annual Honolulu Pride Parade the morning of Saturday, October 20th and invite you to join.

where and when:

We'll be at Magic Island beginning at 9am, please arrive between 9:30-10am. Look for the Biki bikes! We are lineup #70, following First Hawaiian Bank and preceding Unite 5.

All units must be in place by 10am, final line-up begins at 10:30am, parade leaves at 11am sharp. Parking is available at Ala Moana Shopping Center and Magic Island. It is first come, first served, so Biki'ing there is highly recommended!

Route:

The parade will begin at Magic Island (Ala Moana Beach Park), head down Kalakaua Avenue and conclude at Diamond Head Green (Kapiolani Park) where a festival will take place until 6pm.

things to remember:

  • As always, your ride time begins as soon as a bike is removed from the dock. To avoid overage fees, we highly recommend getting a Free Spirit Membership, which offers a bank of 300-minutes for $20. You can purchase this plan on the Biki App or GoBiki.org.

  • Prepare to ride slow! You may even need to walk your Biki at some points to respect the space of the group in front of us.

  • This year's theme is "Celebrate the Rainbow" and you are encouraged to dress accordingly!

  • All Biki riders must be at least 16 years of age or older.

  • Biki bikes and open docks are always first come first served. Please plan ahead by downloading the Biki App to see the availability of bikes and open docks at every station.
