Mahalo for riding on BIKI4K!

03/06/2018

A huge mahalo to those who participated in #BIKI4K yesterday! Riders completed a total of 3,177 trips, officially setting the new record for the total number of trips taken in a single day.

Nearly 500 new Biki users redeemed their free trip! We talked to some residents who had not been on a bike in over 10 years and others who were encouraged to give it a try by their friends who are already Biki members.

Did you know?

• Sunday happens to be our slowest day of the week with a previous record of 2489 and a daily average of 1808.
• The previous record took place on Friday, November 3 when President Trump was in town and residents were informed of traffic advisories and road closures.

Missed out on BIKI4K? You still have the opportunity to give Biki a try for free by signing up for a Biki Bicycling Basics course taught by Hawaii Bicycling League. The next workshop is Saturday, March 10 from 9:30-11:30am!

We also offer a variety of affordable memberships GoBiki.org. Our popular Free Spirit Plan offers a bank of 300-minutes for $20, costing riders only around 6 cents per minute. If you ride more often, check out our unlimited monthly options to get the biggest bang for your buck!

We loved seeing the photos and videos of your #BIKI4K adventures on FacebookTwitter and Instagram! Stay tuned for future social media competitions and be sure to tag @GoBikiHI for the chance to be featured.
