New rates go into effect on June 1, 2024. Any new Biki pass or subscription purchased on or after June 1, 2024 will reflect the new plan rates and fees.

If you have The Free Spirit , the price will increase on June 1, 2024. Any new purchase or auto-renewal of this subscription on or after this date will be in the amount of $55 plus tax . If you are not on auto-renew, Extra Time fees will be charged at the new rate once your balance of minutes reaches zero.

If you have The Commuter or The Voyager the price will increase on June 1, 2024. Any new purchase or auto-renewal of this subscription on or after this date will be in the amount of the new rate. $25 for The Commuter and $20 for The Voyager. Extra Time cost will be charged at the new rate of $5.25 per 30-minutes for trips lasting longer than your allowance.

Any walk-up pass purchased at the kiosk before June 1, 2024 will see their Extra Time costs increase to $5.25 / 30 mins. Any walk-up plans purchased after on or after June 1, 2024, will be at the revised rate and Extra Time costs calculated at the new $5.25 / 30 mins. Be sure to keep within your time limit if you want to avoid Extra Time costs!

Bikeshare is designed for quick trips around town, serving as a convenient form of public transportation. Our data shows that the average Biki member ride lasts just 15 minutes and 49 seconds. The 30-minute and 45-minute time limits on our Commuter and Voyager Subscriptions ensure that bikes are continuously moving throughout the shared system and available for all riders. If you prefer to take longer trips and want to avoid the Extra Time costs, we recommend signing up for the The Free Spirit, which offers a bank of 300 minutes that can be used in any increment.

All system revenue generated by customer fees and memberships is directed to Biki's operator, Secure Bike Share Hawaii. These funds are crucial for covering the growing daily operating expenses, allowing bikes to be rented 24/7, maintaining older equipment and providing local jobs. This includes all applicable taxes to the State and City and County of Honolulu on Oahu, as well as expenses related to maintenance crews, dedicated customer service channels, and administrative and equipment costs.
